KATE OGDEN is a classically trained teacher with a B.S. Degree in Music Education. Beginning piano study at age 4, Kate performed at school and community events throughout her childhood and participated in the National Guild of Piano Teachers' Auditions through age 18 when she was awarded the Padrewski Gold Medal. Later, Kate studied as a member of the Berkshire Music Center at Tanglewood on scholarship from Boston University, Additionally, she has attended several piano master classes with world renowned pianists at Tanglewood, in New York and California which Kate believes greatly added to her refinement of the instrument. Prior to relocating to California, Kate owned a piano studio in suburban Philadelphia and taught at Temple University and Chestnut Hill Academy. She was employed as a music teacher for San Diego Unified School District and has also served as a piano instructor for the City of Rancho Palos Verdes Recreation department.
